March Roundtable & Social – Navigating Government Grantmaking and Grant Landscape

 AFP Roundtable and Social
at Little Pub, Fairfield

Join us for our latest Roundtable Discussion at Little Pub in Fairfield! Back-to-back events will take place on Tuesday, March 18.

The Roundtable is from 4:30pm-5:30pm and is a “members-only” benefit. There is no fee. Our topic is navigating changes in government grantmaking, and the current grant making landscape. A group of members that source and write grants will lead a discussion and welcome all ranges of experience to the table. Bring your questions and share your successes. Our Roundtables are designed so that you can freely ask questions and exchange ideas.

The Social will run from 5:30pm-7:00pm and is open to members, guests, and future members. This is a great time to mix and mingle, exchange cards, make friends, and build new relationships. It is also the perfect setting to learn about new opportunities in nonprofits or get more involved with AFP!

There will be delicious appetizers included with registration fee of $25 for all!

The Donor Pool Builder is the nation’s first-ever hyper-local study of donors, and it was piloted right here in Fairfield County. Thousands of households were surveyed across every corner of the County as part of the inaugural wave of research.

The results are now in, and they show

  • How much money is currently being donated locally, by geography and by issue (spoiler: $1.46 billion in total!)
  • What exactly drives those donations in each area and for each cause (according to the donors themselves)
  • What local donors think specifically of hundreds of individual nonprofits
  • Why donors would (or would not) consider donating to your nonprofit
  • What potential donors look for in new nonprofits
  • What messaging and pathways are most effective
  • What donors want to hear from nonprofits (and what they don’t)
  • And much more

The Donor Pool Builder has a mountain of local data from Greenwich to Shelton and every town in between. Please contact Founder Bruce Paul () to get a peek at some of your own local data and to see how it can help you Build your Donor Pool.
